Toes up, make a cradle
Pull your toes up toward your shin so the ball sits in the pocket between laces and ankle. A flat foot has no shelf — the ball just rolls off.

Catch it, don't let it bounce
As the ball lands, drop the foot with it and bend the knee to absorb the pace. Riding the ball down is what kills the bounce and sticks the stall.
