Bowl it past your ear
Cradle the ball in the palm, keep the arm straight and swing it in a circle past your ear. Let it roll off the fingertips for backspin so it sits down for the receiver.

Step at your target
Step forward with the opposite foot, front arm pointing the line. The stride and hip drive power the throw — not just the arm.

Finish flat, not looping
Follow through with your chest over the front knee so the ball travels level or slightly down. A flat trajectory arrives faster and is easier to control.
